Home... Cyber land
I withdrew from blogging; not because it is time consuming and sometimes boring but life in the west is always chaotic and demanding. After brutal and irrational war engulfed all Somalia, as a young man, I was forced to the leave my home, my sweet home on a long dreadful trek on a truck, my journey was filled with a lot of uncertainties.
Life is filled with ups and downs, at the end of a tough journey and uncertain life one needs to find where to call home, and rest.
Paradoxically, I lost my home to the evil spirits of clan hatred and violence, warlords and ruthless thugs.
Intrigued, I spent my early childhood in a wonderful, free land as a nomad, I moved later to Mogadishu which was one of the most stunning cities in Africa, not realizing that clan hostility, hatred, insatiability and self-interest would terribly ravage my city and leave thousands impoverished, displaced and forced them to live in disgraceful conditions in refugee camps in neighboring countries.
Terribly, I decided to leave Somalia to find better life, crossing the red sea where thousands of Somalis have perished while trying to reach the protection that Yemen provides was the only way visible to me at the time.
Ironically, though I was fully aware and geared up to face the most brutal smugglers and treacherous waters, But I underestimated the psychological and physical hardships of being a refugee, when you have no choice you learn easier ways to cope with stress and postwar trauma without professional help….eventually, with help of relatives I was able to make to US; honestly I am greatly indebted to the American generosity, rule of law and rest for humanity.
Painfully, on one hand we Somalis grew up to fiercely be proud of ourselves and culture; we value honor and dignity; we are full of pride, on the other hand it seems we have been so badly shaken and broken and reduced to being hapless refugees.
Unfortunately, the intractable wars in Somalia are excruciatingly the greatest detriment to any human development, in particular, the lives of nomads has been ruthlessly interrupted and devastated, the international communities and the world media overlooked the plights on the nomads and only put focus on the suffering of civilian in urban areas.
Finally, though I am not a pessimist, the anarchy, extreme agony and wretchedness in Somalia seems to continue in the foreseeable future, I blog to relieve my pain and live the nostalgic memory of childhood.

Nomadworld
Nomad’s world
Welcome to my world and thanks for having an interest to read my writings.
I created this blog to scribble free follow of thoughts and feelings, I would post as ideas come to my mind ,no editing or proof reading expected …Alas! No respect for grammar or style … as long as my rough scrawled thoughts make sense, I would be fine with it.
I would be posting my personal reflections and view points on what is happening back home (Somalia) as a nomad from east of Africa… the easy life of being a nomad stays with me always…though that is not a correct statement these days, nomads were forced out of there comfort zones ….Somalia were I came from become synonym with anarchy, and poverty, warlords, inept leader, thugs and nameless criminals wrought havoc on the whole country
